Two Things the Son of Adam Dislikes

Hadith of the Day is a daily feature highlighting timeless sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and the Ahlul-Bayt (pbut), offering insights into faith, ethics, and spirituality for contemporary life.

Hawzah News Agency- Al-Khalil ibn Ahmad narrated from Abu al-Abbas al-Sarraj who narrated from Qutaybah, who narrated from Abd al-Aziz, from Amr ibn Abi Amr, from Asim ibn Umar ibn Qatadah, from Mahmud ibn Labid that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh and his family) said:

There are two things the son of Adam dislikes:

1. Dislikes death, yet death is a rest for the believer from trials; and

2. Dislikes a lack of wealth, yet less wealth means a lighter reckoning [in the day of Judgment].
